Giving Back to Grow the Game

For those that are not aware, for the past 3 years  Assistant Technical Director Jay Da Costa has been hired by the Nunavut Soccer Association to go up North/Nunavut twice a year to a remote community to run indoor soccer camps for the Northern Communities.  Jay visits a new community every time and these communities are extremely remote (no restaurants, coffee shops, nothing).  The kids work hard in these programs and the whole community really looks forward to it as it is a major event for a "southerner" to come put on camps such as this.  This Jay's 6th trip up North and each one has been very successful creating a lot of positive change.  This March Jay will organizing the camp in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut.

As done in the past, Jay has reached out to the community to attempt to bring up used INDOOR SOCCER SHOES.  Last year he managed to collect over 50 pairs and each participate got a pair of shoes.  Jay will provide a bin in the clubhouse for those registered over the course of the next 2 weekends to drop off any older shoes they may wish to donate.

Well done Jay!
