Former Hornet Kayza Massey playing for Ghana U17 Women's Wold Cup team

By Ottawa Gloucester Hornets Soccer, 10/11/16, 9:00AM EDT

Ottawa Gloucester Hornets are proud to cheer on former Hornet goalkeeper Kayza Massey, who is representing Ghana at the U17 Women's World Cup in Jordan.

Kayza started for the Ghana National team in their games against Paraguay, the United States and Japan in the World Cup. Her Black Maidens team is now in the Quarter-Final stage and will play North Korea on Thursday, October 13th. Good luck Kayza!

Kayza graduated from the Hornets program and now enjoys a spot on the Ottawa South United (OSU) 2001 Girls OPDL team. This move allowed her to continue her development at the provincial level as part of the club alliance in place between our two clubs. The 15-year-old goalkeeper has so far cemented her place as the first choice goalkeeper for Ghana, and will be expected to start in their upcoming games.
