OGHS has a unique Technical Director set-up that provides maximum oversight for our organization's programs, teams, coaches and players. As opposed to hiring one full-time Technical Director who is expected to oversee over 1,250 players and 60 plus coaches, the decision was made to bring in a collaborative part-time Technical Director Team to provide the best possible environment for all our organization's members. We provide Technical Direction to OGHS that fosters a lifelong love of the beautiful game through creating an inclusive soccer community built on Long Term Athlete Development. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring standards of coach training and development, providing player pathways for all streams of players, and maintaining overall accountability of programs, player retention and growth, player/coach experience, session organization, training phases, player identity and game models. The development structure is a player-centered philosophy with a long-term growth mindset. This is supported through age-appropriate training elements through the following five (5) development elements: Technical, Physical, Psychological/Mental, Tactical and Social. Each of these elements reflects a wide aspect of a player's development that are gradually introduced based on the individual player's level, age and mentality. Our goal is to implement a progressive long-term player development philosophy and game model that is fundamental to enjoyment, positivity, development, technical competency and retention in the game.

Born and raised in Ottawa East including playing his entire youth career with Gloucester Hornets and still proudly plays Men’s with Gloucester Celtic. A few playing accolades include: OFSAA Provincial Champion, U-Sports National Silver Medalist (Carleton), OUA Finalist x 2, Men’s Ontario Cup Champion x 2, Men’s Canadian National Champion, Ottawa Cup Men’s Premier Champion x 5, Ottawa OCSL Men’s Premier Champion x6. Jay has over 20 years coaching experience starting at age 16 coaching camps and grassroot programs, eventually coaching with Ottawa Fury Academy (x7 years U10-13, U16-17, U20 Semi-Pro), Ottawa Fury FC (U16 & U17 Boys), Vancouver Whitecaps Academy Centre Coach (x 2 years) and Assistant Technical Director for OGHS (x2 years). Coaching Certifications include, Ontario Pre-B License, Ontario Provincial B License, Canada Soccer National B License, Canada Soccer Children’s License, Canada Soccer Youth License, Coaches education at Tottenham Hotspur Football (UK) and invaluable experience under numerous elite TD’s including (but not limited too): Marc Dos Santos, Stephen Hart, Colin McCurdy, Phillip Dos Santos, Joel Moody (Aston Villa) and Frank Lafranco.

Gina was born in Sarnia, ON and moved to Ottawa when she was 16. She accepted a full scholarship to current top 20 NCAA Division 1 - South Florida, graduating with a Bachelors of Health Science and later a Bachelor of Education from Ottawa University. She is now a primary teacher in OCDSB. Playing experience includes but not limited to: Sarnia Spirit Boys Team, Ontario Provincial Team Member (U14 & U15), Ottawa Fury Super-Y Team, Ottawa Fury W-League (youngest player ever called up), Olympic Development Program, Canadian National U20 Program and Canadian National First Team. Her coaching experience includes: Ottawa Fury Academy (Ages 9-15) Head Coach, Ottawa South United (OPDL), Ottawa Gloucester Hornets, Algonquin College Women’s Soccer (x 2 years) and Carleton University Women’s Varsity Soccer – Assistant Coach (x 3 years). Her coaching certifications are: Ontario Pre-B Certification, Ontario Provincial B Certification & seeking National B Certification.

Karl was born in Ottawa and has been coaching since he was 13. He has a Masters degree in Chemistry from Carleton University, current part-time Phd student and Operations Manager at Carleton Mass Spectrometry Centre. He attended Carleton University where he was a 3x OUA East 1st Team All-Star, U-Sports National Bronze Winner, OUA East Champion, 3x Academic All-Canadian, recipient of Jack Vogan Award among many other accolades. His playing experience includes: U17 Ontario Provincial Team Goalkeeper, 3x years professional in Romania Poli AEK reserve team (Divizia A  Romania), 2x years SV Sonsbeck (Verbandesliga, Germany). His coaching experience includes: FC Capital United (x10 years), 9+ years and current Carleton University Men's Varsity Soccer – Head Goalkeeper Coach. Coaching Certifications: Karl has his Ontario GK License and National D goalkeeper licence from Ireland.

Carl was born in Southport England before moving to Barrie Ontario. He spent his entire collegiate career at Niagara University where he made a total of 73 appearances for the Purple Eagles and tallied 35 goals and 21 assists. He was also named MAAC Rookie of the Year as well as First team All-MAAC x2. Carl Haworth was the longest serving Fury FC player and former captain. His list of accomplishments are lengthy and include: a Men's National team cap vs South Korea, all-time leader in Goals, Assists and Minutes Played for Ottawa Fury FC, tied for all time assists lead in the Canadian Championship (Voyageurs Cup), as well as almost 200 professional appearances. His playing experience include: Barrie FC Youth Team, Niagara University, Forest City London in the USL Premier Development League, Ottawa Fury FC, Indy Eleven (USL), Canadian National Team and Atletico Ottawa.  He has a lengthy coaching experience with various club in city and ran his own development programs. His coaching certifications include: FA Youth Coaching Level, Soccer for Life, LTPD, Ontario C-License Trained.
