Spring/Summer Assessments

Assessments Schedule

Assessments will take place on Feb 22, 23, 29 and March 1  in the Hornets Dome for all players participating in the U9-U18 age categories.

All U9-U18 players are expected to attend the first two scheduled assessment sessions. Some categories will have a 3rd session, which will be by invitation only.

The Junior's U5-U8 categories are not "assessed" but are welcome to participate in the scheduled "open sessions" to meet the coaches and participate in small-sided games.

OGHS has also included Goalkeeper assessments, starting this year. GKs are encouraged to attend both the GK and their team age category sessions.

Assessment Details

Location: Gloucester Super Dome (1660 Bearbrook Rd, Gloucester, ON K1B 1C4)

Assessment Dates: February 22, 23, 29 and March 1st.

All players are to attend assessments for their age category on the date, time and location outlined on the assessment schedule. Age categories are based on the age a player is turning in 2020. (Example: U18 players are born in 2002) Please note all dates/times are subject to change, regularly check this page for changes. 

Check in: If you are registered in the Spring/Summer season already, you must show-up to the field assigned to your age category upon arrival at the Hornets Dome.

If you have not registered into our program, you must stop by the Hornets office 10 mins before your session and make sure to provide your contact information to our Hornets Staff.

All players must wear proper equipment: shorts, shirt, shin-pads, cleats or appropriate footwear and soccer socks. (hornets training top if you have it and preferred Equipment black top & black socks).

 Our club offers teams at the following age categories and levels:

  • U9-U12: offers play at Prem and D1 (ERSL), in some instances where players are available D2 (ERSL)
  • U13-U18: offers play at Regional (R) and DC1 (ERSL) in some instances DC2 (ERSL) where players are available.

Players are highly encouraged to take advantage of early-bird, discounted registration rate and register prior to February 24 - Registration fees after February 23 will be increased to standard rates.  All players should be registered before participating in assessments.

Notification of Team Placement

Players will receive offers through their registered email address and will have 48 hours to accept or decline the offer.

Please note that once a roster spot has been accepted, you will no longer be eligible for a refund (see Refund and Rebates) for a detailed explanation of the refund policy).
